I participated in two shows this month. The Annual Members Show at Walker’s Point Center for the Arts and the Bay View Arts Guild show during Bay View Gallery Night at the Magnet Factory. Both were great shows and lots of fun. Check out my facebook page to see a gallery from BVGN @ Magnet Factory.
I am very happy to be getting some work out into the world where it can be seen by other people. In just one month, more people have viewed my work than ever before.
I finished another painting the night of the Magnet Factory show, one I’ve been working on since at least the last week of June. It’s 30″ x 24″ acrylic on paper, it is almost entirely composed of tints and shades of a single hue.
I am pleased to announce that one of my most recent paintings (“Looking Through Water”, pictured at right) has been chosen for a show and will be on display for Gallery Night (and day), July 25th and 26th in Milwaukee’s “Historic Third Ward”.
The show will be open Friday and Saturday in the lobby of the “Translator” building located at 415 E Menomonee St. (about one block away from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design).
The theme of the show is “Happiness, Kindness, Gratitude and Love”. It is also the grand opening celebration for Choose a Positive Thought and a portion of any proceeds will be donated to the local branch of Habitat for Humanity.
